Repeater Linking

UPDATE ON 224.580 REBUILD:  The repeater is being completely rebuilt to allow easier maintenance in the future.  A slide-out cabinet is being used as the repeater chasis, and that is coming along nicely.  A new controller and CTCSS board have been ordered.  The receiver and exciter are mounted, and the antenna connectors, local speaker, and the rest of the wiring still need to be completed.  The new duplexers were tuned and are ready to go.  Thank you to Dave AL7OP for helping with that!  The new duplexers are Wacom WP-747L3 Bp/Br duplexers and the final specs are 200+dB of isolation and 0.8dB of insertion loss.  These will perform MUCH better than the old duplexers.  A temporary site has been located for the repeater once the rebuild is complete, more on that once it is on the air.  The rack mount cabinet is in need of a new set of doors, since the previous tower owner trashed the ones I had.  Anyone have a set of GE MASTR II 44" cabinet doors they don't need anymore?  The cabinet will be receiving a fresh coat of paint before the equipment is mounted into it. There will be enough room to mount everything except the batteries, which will be placed in a seperate container and wired into the 24V power system.  The Uniden amplifier will provide 12V power for the rest of the system.  This allows us to only need battery back-up on the 24V side of the system, and no need to install a 12V power suppply.  Again, more on that and pics once the rebuild is complete.  We are getting close, thank you for being patient!
